Ironically, intelligent and or creative individuals are more likely to walk into a room and forget why they walked in.

This explains so much.

A graphical representation of the contradictions in the bible. Each red line links 2 contradicting statements.
WILL ALWAYS REBLOG.

WOAH

This reminds me of a really fascinating theological idea I read once. It poses that God meant for the Bible to be full of contradictions, because it isn’t an instruction manual, but a test of character. If you can read through all the books and stories, all the confusing, contradictory statements, and you still choose to take home a message of peace, acceptance, and forgiveness, then you’ve passed God’s test.
I’m not a very religious person, but I still really like that idea.

^ I like that interpretation :D

Of course, you also have to realize that the Bible has been translated and re-translated and changed at the will of religious leaders and that the Bible as it stands is not a book straight from God. Imperfect men have changed it.
I mean, you put a line of text through a couple of languages on Google Translate and see what you get!

Not to mention that a TON of what was originally written didn’t make it into the final product.

In WWII the phrase “Vatican Cameos” was used when a person who was not in the British army came before the general, or other high up ranks, as a signal to the other officers that the person was armed.

So when Sherlock says “Vatican Cameos” to warn John that the safe has a gun in it, it’s not something that they’ve set up as a code word- It’s a code Sherlock knew John would know- being a soldier!

The BBC should make a tv channel where they just play Doctor Who, Sherlock, Torchwood and Merlin on repeat.

It is a thing that I would watch.
